Going Hunting

The first fall item!! Although it is still good weather here I felt that I had to do a different item that is more appealing for most of you that are following my blog.. Then you might actually benefit from my fashion tips;)..
Well fur is back in town as I have already seen in many stores.. so far I like it but I must say I'm not a great fan of boots with fur on them! To me it looks as if you have yeti feet.. I prefer sleek boots in suede or leather or something along that line..
Furthermore I often think that just a blouse is too boring to wear so this time I combined it with a colorful tight top/dress and with a little waist belt around it I feel much more styled! Another way I wear blouses is by knotting the ends together so it has a more playful look..

My absolute favorite of the season.. The Hunter's Hat

Hat: Zara
Gilet: Bought in Zwitserland (can't remember the name of the boutique)
Blouse: H&M

Côte D'Or

I actually thought of this outfit when I was sitting in the airplane on my way to Antibes.. You can make so many variations with the name Côte D'Azur so I pictured myself wearing something in gold so that I could name the next post Côte D'Or.. like the chocolate:)
Luckily I also had something in gold since gold or silver colored clothes can look very trashy when you combine it in the wrong way.. thus I always combine it with white or black. It's also advisable to combine it with something of a different fabric!

It was quite hard to jump on the rocks since their surface is uneven but I managed without tripping..

Le Palmiers

Finally I'm back ! It took me quite some time but I am officially settled into my new home in Antibes in the sunny south of France. I also got internet, in the comfort of my own home, so from now I will be able to post all my adventures and fashion finds again.
As you might now I just started my master in luxury and fashion management. Last week I have had my first introduction to the program but most of the time I have been busy with getting to know people, explore the scenery and off course go out..
Partying is something that you can do really well on the French Riviera. In terms of fashion I view the Riviera as an area where people wear a lot of color like in the Carribean. And in contrast to the Netherlands people actually dress up when they go out which I like very much. I can finally wear all my party dresses and you don't have a feeling that you're overdressed!

The dress that I'm wearing is actually very simple but the color is great! I combined the dress with a large waist belt but you might as well combine it with a smaller one.. as long as it is a waist belt. Without it, it would look like a bag without any form in it.
In my view it is best to combine light yellow with either light/dark brown, cognac or dark blue. Black is not ideal because the color is too hard for a pastel color like this. Off course you combine the color of your belt with matching shoes.

Although you can't see them very well I made these earrings myself from a bracelet.. Next time I will post an update on my latest jewelry creations!

Graphic Grafitti

Unfortunately I haven't took the time lately to make a lot of photos for my blog since I have been busy preparing for next year. In about 2,5 weeks I will move to the South of France to do a master over there. Tomorrow I'll be going there for a week to explore the place and find a new home. Almost everyday there's a little something that I need to do to make sure that everything is organized when I'm not that close to the Netherlands anymore.

As for my outfit..it's nothing special today except for the fact that I'm attached to all of the items that I'm wearing. For instance I love this top because it speaks for itself and you can just throw it on without wearing too much aside to it.

I don't know why but this necklace reminds me of the South of France.. It looks so tropical and could match with a riviera look very well..

Studded shoes match the colors of the top

Between The Lines

The weather is weird today..it's clouded, the sun is hidden behind the grey sky but it's still comfortable to go outside without a jacket. We have this kind of weather very often in the Netherlands. I'm not very fond of these in- between days where you can't really go out and enjoy the sun. On the other side there's no rain so you don't really have to stay in.. Since it's Sunday and there's not really anything to do it's time to go through my closet and organize everything again.
But first my outfit for the day.. The trousers are actually for men. Yet with a simple small waist belt you can fit them to your own size. This way the edges go outward which shape the trousers a bit like a carrot.
Furthermore my shoes have an intriguing pattern which I have emphasized with the stripes of my Tshirt.
I don't plan on cleaning my room with these heels, but it's just for the picture ;)..

Below you can see that the legs of the trousers have been adjusted to skinny legs..This way you can make the pants more feminine.

I am fascinated by the pattern of these shoes because the style looks a bit like Mondrian.

Here's a close up on the carrot effect..

Suit Yourself

It has almost been a week since my last post so I felt that it was more than time for a new one. Today's fashion picks are the jumpsuit and boyfriend blazer. Now I do know that it's summer and almost 30 degrees so this outfit is not ideal if you want to cool off, but I wanted to show it to you..
The great thing about a boyfriend blazer is that you can make something that is casual look more sophisticated. It is like the cherry on top of the pie in a way that it can be the final touch that makes the entire outfit. I choose to wear high heels, but you can dress down by wearing slippers or low allstars.

At first sight the jumpsuit looks like a dress, but I hope you can see that the middle is sewn together so that you have small shorts.

A nice detail of the jumpsuit is that it has puffed sleeves and an open back.. without the blazer it is more casual and convenient to when you're chilling in the park or for a city walk.
